Steve is a versatile songwriter and musician on a mission. He started, and continues to lead, the award winning Handpicked band who celebrated there 21st anniversary in November 2008. Steve, together with the Handpicked Band, has released 3 albums and recently, the DVD (in celebration of there 21st anniversary). Handpicked has been an important part of the Australian musical landscape for many years with performances in diverse places from country picnic race meetings to the steps of The Opera House, right across the country, overseas and on cruise ships.
Steve’s first solo album “Goin’ It Alone” (produced by Rod McCormack & released in 2008) has seen Steve receive formal acknowledgment for his songwriting and performances including:

The album opened many new doors for Steve with appearances at music festivals, videos on the Country Music Channel and great radio and media support showing that this fella has something going on that people can relate to. An understanding of real people and real life experiences and an ability to connect with almost any crowd with His quick wit.
Busy performing live and writing towards another album to be relased late 2009, Steve continues to “swing the hammer”.
